So I came home tonight to my water heater on fire, electricity off and my husband not breathing well from not having his oxygen. When we got the power working again my husband put on his oxygen and went to lay down because he wasn’t feeling well from the lack of oxygen in his system. Sitting awake and paranoid I started thinking if this would have happened last night or tonight we might not even be here. The fact that the fire was caught was purely by accident. If someone wouldn’t have went to check on laundry it may have been too late.

Sometimes it takes little things in life to make you realize the important things. In this case it was a fire and my husband gasping for air that made me realize “NO ITS NOT MY TIME” I have so much to do before I leave this earth and join my Father in Heaven. For example I have just begun to touch the surface of this faith stuff. I have so many more conversations with God that I want to take place. I know God has a plan for me and there are things he wants me to do for the glory of the Kingdom. My mission in this world is not over. I have people to help, ways to serve, people to love and hearts to touch. I have not made my mark on this world yet.

We waste a lot of time in our lives focusing on the wrong things. Then when our time comes we panic and think to ourselves “I’m not done yet!” . Why does it always take some kind of horrible event for us to realize its time to start living? How many lives have we touched, people have we helped, sacrifices have we made, love we have shared? Don’t wait until it’s too late to give yourself a reason to start making your mark on this world for the glory of God. So get up and visit a neighbor, speak to a stranger, call an old friend, tell someone you love them, help someone in need and be Jesus with skin on to the world! The time is NOW and say to yourself “I’M NOT DONE YET!”

Ecclesiastes 3:12
I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.

Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
